Jazz Vocalist Madeleine Peyroux on March Calendar at Belly Up

Acclaimed blues and jazz vocalist Madeleine Peyroux is set to perform new music at the Belly Up in Solana Beach on March 19.
Fans who attend the show will be the first to hear her long-awaited upcoming album, to be released later this year. Tickets start at $60.
In 2016, Peyroux released her seventh studio album, Secular Hymns. Self-produced, the record featured a mix of soul, jazz, blues and dub sounds, including covers of songs by Townes Van Zandt, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Willie Dixon and Linton Kwesi Johnson.
As a teen performing on the streets of Paris, Peyroux garnered the attention of Atlantic Records, which lead to her breakthrough debut album in 1996, Dreamland, which sold around 200,000 copies.
Peyroux’s follow-up albums, 2004’s Careless Love and 2006’s Half The Perfect World, (via Rounder Records, produced by Larry Klein) received critical acclaim and went on to achieve gold certification.
Other shows coming up at the Belly Up in March include Loving, Walter Trout, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and the Young Dubliners.
