Picnic at the Park to See Rady Shell Reveal of 2024 Summer Concert Slate

Picnic at the Park on Sunday offers a chance to relax at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park and snag a first look at the concert lineup for the 2024 summer season.

The free celebration will include performances by members of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and 2023 San Diego Music Award winners Rebecca Jade and Jeff Berkley and the Banned along with an appearance by 100.7 BIG FM radio DJ Garett Michaels. 

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own picnics, blankets and chairs for the day, while enjoying food and beverage options from Rady Shell partners, including Biga Pizza, Lola 55, Urban Kitchen and Cali Creamery.

Subscription packages will be available for sale the same day with other fun activities, including a Padres fast-pitch station, book signing by celebrity chef Richard Blais and giveaways.

RSVP online, but admission is first-come, first-served for the event – doors open at 10:30 a.m.

The summer pops season typically includes performances by the San Diego Symphony, special holiday events, music from blockbuster films and appearances by pop stars. Last summer’s slate included Patti LaBelle, Charlie Puth and Judy Collins.

Prior to the season, in April and May, artists coming to the Rady Shell include Peter Frampton, Khruangbin, Willie Nelson & Family and Roger Daltrey.
