Speed, style, philanthropy collide at SD’s ‘Party in the Park’

San Diego’s automotive and philanthropic communities will come together for a night of high-octane glamour and purpose as the San Diego Automotive Museum presents “Party in the Park” … Ignite!! An Evening at the Grand Prix, on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 5 to 10 p.m. at 2080 Pan America Plaza.
Guests will step into the world of speed, luxury, and innovation, surrounded by the glamour of international racing. The evening promises live music by Liquid Blue, a thrilling live auction, and a host of exclusive experiences.
Each ticket includes complimentary valet, a three-course seated dinner, fine wines from Adobe Road Winery in Napa Valley, a hosted bar, world-class entertainment, surprises, and access to new exhibits featuring classic and exotic cars.
This year’s event will honor Dr. Steve and Lynne Wheeler and will be co-chaired by Reena Horowitz, Jill Berg, and Dr. Tess Mauricio. The evening will also feature a special presentation of the Titan Philanthropy Award to Paula Abdul and Ray Brock.
Since its launch in 2021, “Party in the Park” has raised nearly $3 million to support the San Diego Automotive Museum and its educational programs, including the IGNITE Academy. IGNITE is an innovative initiative that combines career exploration, independent research, and hands-on, project-based learning to prepare students for internships and future careers in the automotive industry. Designed for high school students who are not four-year college bound, the program offers mentorship, guidance, and early career exposure—all at no cost to the students.
Tickets and sponsorships are now available, with pricing starting at $700 for individual tickets and $7,000 for sponsorships. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.sdautomuseum.org.
